We came to New Zealand to build a life. Then we started building for others.
Mohios exists because running a business in New Zealand is already hard enough. Founders shouldn't have to become accidental IT departments just to survive.

Three years ago, we moved from Berlin to Auckland. Bought a house. Put our kids in school. Started navigating a new country's tax system, compliance rules, and business culture — all at once.
Along the way, we met the people who keep New Zealand running. The plumber who answers calls at school pickup. The mobile vet whose kids cry in the backseat while she books appointments. The coach who spends more time on invoices than coaching.
They all said the same thing:
I just want to do the work I'm good at. Not fight with fifteen tabs and three logins.
That's when it clicked. After a decade of building products and running agile transformations for companies like Porsche, Adidas, and Lufthansa — the people who need help most aren't enterprises with transformation budgets.
It's the baker who wants to bake. The therapist who wants to heal. The tradie who wants to build. The coach who wants to coach.
Mohios isn't an AI consulting firm. It's not “digital transformation.” It's a pressure release valve. We sit with you, understand how your day actually works, and build the specific things that give you your time back. No more. No less.
You started this business to do great work — not to manage CRMs, chase invoices, or wrestle with technology that wasn't built for how you operate.
We handle the operating system. You return to your craft.
Small businesses are the spine of this country. Not venture-backed unicorns.
We chose New Zealand. We bought a house here. We're raising our kids here. Contributing to a better business environment in Aotearoa isn't just our business model — it's personal.
Who's behind this

Danny Holtschke
Born in East Germany. Built his first company at 28 — Spotistic, a tech startup that got acquired. Then built a million-dollar training business with Jake Knapp, the creator of Google's Design Sprint. Coached agile transformations for Porsche, Adidas, Lufthansa, and Signal Iduna.
Moved to Auckland in 2023 with Jessie and two kids. Worked as a Senior Product Manager and Agile Coach before going full-time entrepreneur in January 2026.
Jessie Kim Holtschke
Artist. Community builder. Founder of the Manawa Tribe. Jessie is the reason everything Mohios touches has warmth, intention, and feeling. She shapes the visual identity, the brand voice, and the emotional texture of the work.
When we build a website, design a brand, or create marketing assets for a client — Jessie's creative eye is behind it. She sees what systems thinkers miss: how something feels, not just how it functions.

Parents to Noa (7) and Lia (3). Based in Auckland. Building a life and a business in Aotearoa — one conversation at a time.

Four principles. No manifesto.
Built, not theorised
We don't write proposals. We build things. Every client engagement starts with a real conversation and ends with something working.
Your business, your way
We adapt to how you work — not the other way around. If you run your business through WhatsApp, so do we.
Fewer tools, not more
AI should simplify your life, not add another login. We replace complexity with clarity.
Stewardship, not hustle
We're building something durable. For the businesses we serve and the country we chose to call home.
Let's have a coffee.
No pitch. No 47-slide deck. Just a conversation about how your business runs and whether we can help.
